Love over fear

The parents of my children’s school district have all been informed of a series of written threats of a mass shooting in the high school of our district for today. I will be taking my kids (in the elementary school) to school with uneasy and sad feelings. I have even thought of keeping them at home, but the principal assured us of the high security during school time today.
I am in awe of how the human race is using his infinite potential for harm, separatism, and fear rather than its actual essence which is nothing but connectedness, kindness, and unity. And I am talking about every aspect of human life; relationships, parenting, work, etc.
Being human is not easy especially if you want to know what the heck you are doing in this world and what’s your purpose. Nevertheless, the fact of the matter is living every moment adorned with peace and joy is possible. It just needs work. It needs knowledge. Emotional training. Psychological breakdown. Energy work. Heart work. Why? Because one of the requirements is that we should feel in our bones we are all ONE even with the ones who do “bad” to others. Accomplishing this is darn difficult especially at the heat of the moment.
We have to understand the simple truth that hurt people hurt and hurt people need love to heal and not more hate. This applies to our neighbors, wives, husbands, children, bosses, friends, and family. We should be equipped to understand lack of understanding in all shapes and forms. We should recognize that we have all been 95% programmed to think, do, and feel the way we do. We should realize that most of this programming is fear-based. We should grow up and take the responsibility to rewire our brain for unity. We must discern the difference between setting compassionate boundaries and alienating. We should truly believe separation is an illusion. We all should take a personal development journey sooner or later.
Let’s start by genuinely asking the Universe,
“How can I be of service to humanity?”
“What’s my purpose?”
And most importantly, “Who am I?”
Listen and take inspired action. Be open to change, to learn, to grow, to shed. We all need to transform. We all need training since our parents did not know, and their parents did not know. For some reason, the truth was concealed in public education throughout the years. Nevertheless, there were some amazing human beings who got it.
Rumi said, “Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”
Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
Mother Teresa said, “If each of us would only sweep our own doorstep, the whole World would be clean.”
Amma said, “Don’t be discouraged by your incapacity to dispel darkness from the world. Light your little candle and step forward.”
Carl Jung said, “Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.”
Change starts with us! Let’s start working by deconstructing all that we know. Let’s be open to receive novel and compassion-based ideas. We were taught wrong. We were taught to wear masks. We were taught hierarchy and separation. Let’s close our eyes for 10 minutes every day, and just focus on our breath! Let the awareness of our breath shed our past conditioning and fear-based patterns like the skin of a snake. Let’s take away the power from our beliefs. They limit us. One cannot pour into a full cup. Let’s empty our cup and get ready to receive insights. Let kindness, unity, and oneness consciousness be our yardstick.
Praying for the safety of all children. Let us love them unconditionally, and teach them how to love all nonjudgmentally.
Wrapping you all in love ~ Arayeh
